Tai-Shan Schierenberg & Lynn Dennison

“The waves broke and spread their waters swiftly over the shore. One after another they massed themselves and fell; the spray tossed itself back with the energy of their fall”

In their collaboration, Lynn and Tai-Shan investigate the nature and rhythm of the sea, especially in its wave form. They attempt to explore the similarities between the evolution of a wave and that of a painting in a short film.

In her videos and installation work Lynn Dennison explores our relationship with landscape; she is interested in the way we see and experience landscape and why certain landscapes resonate more strongly with us than others. Her installations use video projections of natural elements projected onto architectural spaces, to explore the idea of the fear of our world becoming a hostile environment.
