MONTHLY ARTS CLUB LUNCH

ART OF REGENERATIVE CULTURES

Timberyard Farm/Millwood Studios/West Peace Field

Wednesday 7 June 2023 | 11.30am-2.30pm

Savour the Seasons. Taste the Land.

FIELD PICNIC in collaboration with Aldeburgh Beach Arts Club.

RSVP is essential so we can be prepared to welcome you well. Thanking you.

Please arrive on time at 11.30am

At Timberyard we will assemble on site at our Millwood Barn Studios, leaving from there together punctually at 11.45am for a ten minute walk (700 yards) to West Peace field where we are dining.

We live on a Farm which is in conversion to biodynamic principles and practices of regeneration. As ecological artists we are dedicated to nature-based and healthful practices for the land which enhance biodiverse habitats. Integral to this is nurturing ourselves with ecological and organic foods as part of a practice in gratitude and the honouring of our kinships with each other, the other-than-human and our connections with Mother Earth.

This is an invitation to participate in a SPACIOUS ritual of thanksgiving for the art of regenerative food and culture-making.

For this Artist PICNIC Lunch please bring a simple dish to share from food which is organic/seasonal/homegrown/made/foraged. NO PACKAGING please.

As we are dining in an open field around an open fire we will share our dishes in picnic style. EACH TO BRING OWN PLATE BOWL CUTLERY CUP,  BLANKET & CUSHION

SPOTLIGHT: HILARY GARNER

Hilary Garner

Hilary graduated with an Art Diploma from Anteros Arts Foundation in Norwich and has since studied at Newlyn School of Art.

She works from her own studio in Holton, near Halesworth in Suffolk, mainly painting portraits, still life subjects and landscapes in oils and pastels. She has recently been developing her abstract practice with mixed media.

Whatever the subject or medium, Hilary uses bold brushstrokes with thick paint and an enhanced colour palette to create an expressive painting in what has become her signature style.

Hilary exhibits and sells her work in a number of galleries across East Anglia.  She is a member of Suffolk Open Studios and will be opening her studio in June.
