Einstein on Aldeburgh Beach

In preparation for the Venice Biennale 2019, we will be screening the first tranche of one-minute art films when artists express how it feels to be alive in the universe.

View a good selection of sponsorship pictures, donated by our Big Bang artists who each day present a work of impact at next year's Venice Biennale. Choose your picture, and choose your Venice Biennale sponsorship day in May 2019, for £500.

Sufolk has been given the tremendous opportunity to present its artists centre stage in the art world at the Venice Biennale 2019. We are fortunate to have the beautiful Palazzo Pesaro Papafava, and in its dramatic canal-side setting David Baldry and I are curating a powerful experience which will unite art and philosophy and science.

As well as top artists from Suffolk such as Maggi Hambling and Sarah Lucas/Julian Simmons, other acclaimed artists from around the world are fascinated to become part of this important project. At our party on 9th June you will meet some of these including Issam Kourbaj, fresh from his British Museum acclaim.

Issam, who we show on the first day of the Venice Biennale, is creating a special installation of Dark Water, Burning World at the top of The Lookout for this Venice taster exhibition.
