November 2023

The Arts Club Aldeburgh Beach goes from strength to strength. Our 340 or so members are amongst the most exciting and influential arts people in Suffolk.

Sir PETER BLAKE RA, Sir HUMPHREY BURTON, LIZ CALDER,
EILEEN COOPER RA, EMMA FREUD, RYAN GANDER RA, JILL GREEN, MAGGI HAMBLING, Lady PATTY HOPKINS, ANTHONY HOROWITZ, IAN MCMILLAN, BLAKE MORRISON, BEN PRESTON, LIBBY PURVES, DIANA QUICK, JANICE TURNER, ALISON WILDING RA, ROGER WRIGHT, HELEN ATKINSON WOOD, DEREK WYATT

I am sad to report that our long time member and great supporter Michael Flint has just died. Poignantly, he had a double funeral with Phyllida his wife after both had been ill for a long time. Here is Michael, far right, when he came to the Arthouse 2 years ago for a get together with members including Alison Wilding RA (far left).

Here are photos of our Tuscany Trip!

As you can see we had the most amazing time and made some beautiful and challenging art under the leadership of David Baldry. Join us on our Arts Club trip next year, when at the end of September we fly to Cyprus to stay at the celebrated Cyprus College of Art. Again it is very good value! £275 for your own room or £190 sharing with one other person per week including art tuition.

It’s booking up very fast so contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Water, life’s essence, is vital for human existence. Human actions disrupt its cycle, stressing ecosystems. Acknowledging these elements underscores responsibility for nature’s harmony. By examining muddy river rivulets, Susan Brinkhurst reveals hidden beauty amid tide cycles and interventions.
