MONTHLY ARTS CLUB LUNCH

The Arts Club Lunch, Wednesday 2nd November | 1pm @ The Lookout

The monthly Arts Club lunch is always on the first Wednesday in the month, so please diarise. It is often in the Lookout or sometimes in a member's house or studio. Please let me know if you would like to host a lunch - everyone brings food and drink to share! It's a good way for us all to visit members' studios and view their work.

This months focus is on Jane Beaumont

Hi, I’m Jane Beaumont and I’ve recently joined The Arts Club. I’m based between Bury St Edmunds and Diss.

My fascination with the medium of collage embodies my journey through life - a mosaic of experiences that have challenged and shaped who I am today.

I draw from a rich source of life-routes: as an educator, a play therapist (working with children who have experienced trauma and setbacks), a creator and trainer of programmes for children and teachers in the world’s most vulnerable communities and as an interior designer. And it’s only in the past 2 years that I’ve been able to turn my attention fully to my art journey - which has been a complete joy and liberation.

My work is mostly abstract in style, using acrylic and mixed media on canvas. As well as my own practice I’m also passionate about helping and encouraging others through collage workshops, to invest in their powers of imagination and rich creativity.

I believe creativity is core to human flourishing and that art has a way of bringing us home to ourselves.

You will be encouraged to write about your experiences in or on the sea and a sea journey you have made.
